World Stroke Congress 2022
Held for the first time in Southeast Asia, the 14th World Stroke Congress convened over 4,400 attendees to discuss scientific breakthroughs, advance disease knowledge, and foster collaboration among practitioners in the region to enhance stroke patient care. The event also included a fundraising walkathon on World Stroke Day, raising S$94,000 for stroke survivors and caregivers, as well as promoting public awareness about stroke.

The 25th edition of the World Congress of Dermatology was held in Singapore and Southeast Asia for the first time, focusing on crucial health issues such as migrant and refugee skin health, neglected tropical skin diseases, and diseases in skin of colour. The congress drove meaningful scientific developments including breakthroughs offering new hope to patients, such as a novel treatment for alopecia areata and advancements in eczema treatment. To further improve global skin health, the WCD awarded five laureates the International Award for Social Responsibility in Dermatology and a €20,000 grant to fund their projects.
